Vigor Selects MJP Waterjets for MSV(L)

The U.S. Army awarded the MSV(L) contract to Vigor in late 2017. The new generation of landing craft for the U.S. Army will feature triple drive MJP 750 DRB waterjets. In total, MJP will deliver 45 shipsets over the next 10 years.

“This award marks a key milestone in MJP history,” said MJP President and Regional Director, Douglas Natoce. In addition to being the largest single award contract in company history, this project signifies our continued commitment to the U.S. market.”

Selected for its superior shallow draft maneuvering capabilities, the 750 DRB waterjets are constructed from duplex stainless steel offering the latest advancements in MJP’s proprietary mixed flow technology. Featuring an inboard hydraulic system and an integrated electronic control system, the selected propulsion package has been optimized to fit the needs of the U.S. Army. MJP will begin to deliver units to Oregon based shipbuilder, Vigor, in the Spring of 2019.
